Rules
-
Every player can join multiple teams.
-
Every player must take part in at least one team. If you wanna participate solo, just create a team and you're good
(you will be the only person in your team). Only teams appear on the scoreboard.
- Don't share flags with your team. That is cheating. Submit the flag yourself, and it will be counted for all the teams
you are a member of.
-
Denial of Service attacks are not cool. Seriously. Everybody can DOS a tiny corporation. No honor in that.
-
There are no crazy tricks or magic steps you need to take (well maybe once or twice). The challenges are logical and follow a logical path.
-
You never need to brute-force anything in Hack Dat kiwi. Well sometimes you do, but those things are always on your own computer, not on our servers or networks. Don't brute-force us.
-
Each challenge needs to be solved independently. You should not use the vulnerabilities of one challenge to leak the flag of another challenge.
-
Any questions or concerns you have, shoot them at IRC chat or email.
-
Found bugs in the challenges or the portal? Report them for a full score!
-
Cheating (i.e giving solutions or flags to other players) is not ok. After the contest, logs will be analyzed and cheaters will be penalized.
-
If you only know one category, just focus on that category. Category winners will also receive prizes.
-
News and announcements will be available on the portal.
-
Don't worry about receiving the prize. We will work with you to get it done!
-
Don't do anything illegal. Also don't attempt to hack the portal. Hack that kiwi, not this one. I'm serious.
